Post Meta

The Post Meta widget in JupiterX is great for showcasing important information about your posts(e.g. blog, post, etc). Whether you want to display who wrote an article, when it was published, or how long it takes to read, you can easily manage that with this widget.

Content Tab

Settings

  • Layout: Choose the layout of the post meta; options include inline and stacked.

For each post meta item, you have several options:

Author
  • Type: Set to 'Author' to display the post's author.
  • Before: Enter text or symbols to appear before the author name.
  • Avatar: Toggle 'Yes' to display the author's avatar or 'No' to hide it.
    • Size: Choose the size of author avatar.
  • Link: Toggle 'Yes' to make the author's name clickable, leading to a specified URL or the author's archive page.
  • Icon: Choose from default icons or custom icons to display next to the author name.
Date
  • Type: Set to 'Date' to display the post's date.
  • Date Format: Select from various date formats or set a custom format.
  • Before: Enter text or symbols to appear before the date.
  • Link: Toggle 'Yes' to make the date clickable, usually linking to the daily archive.
  • Icon: Choose from default or custom icons to display next to the date.
Time
  • Type: Set to 'Time' to display the time the post was published.
  • Time Format: Choose between default time formats or set a custom format.
  • Before: Enter text or symbols to appear before the time.
  • Icon: Choose from default or custom icons to display next to the time.
Comments
  • Type: Set to 'Comments' to show the number of comments on the post.
  • Before: Enter text or symbols to appear before the comment count.
  • Custom Format: Toggle 'Yes' to use a custom format for displaying comments.
  • Link: Toggle 'Yes' to make the comment count clickable, usually linking to the post's comment section.
  • Icon: Choose from default or custom icons to display next to the comment count.
Reading Time
  • Type: Set to 'Reading Time' to display an estimate of how long it will take to read the post.
  • Before: Enter text or symbols to appear before the reading time.
  • Icon: Choose from default or custom icons to display next to the reading time.

You can add, remove, or reorder these items as needed for your post meta display. Use the '+' button to add a new item, and the 'X' button to remove one. You can also drag and drop the items to reorder them.

Style Tab

List

  • Space Between: Adjust the space between each meta item in the list. You can use the slider or input a specific value in pixels.
  • Alignment: Choose the alignment for the list items. Options typically include left, center, and right alignment.
  • Divider: Toggle 'On' to add a divider between list items or 'Off' to remove it.

Icon

  • Color: Select the color for the icons used in the post meta list.
  • Size: Set the size of the icons in the post meta list. You can use the slider or enter a specific pixel value.

Text

  • Indent: Adjust the space between the icon and the text. You can use the slider or enter a specific value to set the indent.
  • Text Color: Choose the color of the text in the post meta.
  • Typography: Click on the pencil icon to customize the typography settings of the post meta text, which includes options for font family, size, weight, transform, style, decoration, line-height, and letter spacing.
