Archive Description

Adding an Archive Description to your website can provide context and enhance user experience. JupiterX's Archive Description widget is a powerful tool that allows you to do this with ease and customization. Below, we'll guide you through configuring the style settings of this widget to create an eye-catching archive description.

Understanding the Archive Description Widget

Before we proceed with styling, here are two key facts you should keep in mind:

  • Context-Specific Visibility: The Archive Description widget is exclusively available when you're operating within the Layout Builder for an archive page or an archive product page. It won't be found in the regular widgets section, as it's designed to work within the context of archives.
  • Dynamic Content Source: This widget dynamically fetches and displays content from the taxonomy description fields related to the archive you're viewing. For instance, when a visitor is browsing a category archive, the widget will show the description you’ve entered for that specific category.

Style Tab

  • Alignment: Choose from left, center, right, or justified to ensure your text sits perfectly on the page.
  • Text Color: Use the color picker to select a color that complements your design, or enter a hex code for precision.
  • Typography: Click on the pencil icon to adjust the typography settings for the description text.

The Archive Description widget is only available when you are building or editing an 'archive' template. You can create an archive template via WordPress admin > Jupiter X > Layout Builder > Archive > Add New.
