Creating an Action Button to Close Popups in JupiterX

There are situations where you might want to provide users with a clear option to dismiss a popup. Although JupiterX popups come with a standard close button, you may want to create a more prominent call-to-action (CTA) button that performs the same function. Whether it's for stylistic consistency or user convenience, adding a close button within the popup content can enhance the user experience. Here’s how to create an action button to close a popup in JupiterX.

Step 1: Adding an Action Button Within Your Popup

  1. Launch the popup that you wish to add the close button to in the Elementor editor.
  2. Drag and drop a JupiterX button widget from the Elementor panel into your popup editing area where you want the close button to appear.

Step 2: Configuring the Button as a Close Action

  1. Click on the newly added button to open its settings.
  2. Go to the Content tab within the button settings.
  3. Locate the Turn button to action button toggle and enable it.
  4. Now, you'll see options to determine what kind of close action the button will perform. You have several choices:
    • Close Popup: This option will target the popup within which the button resides. When clicked, it will simply close the current popup.
    • Close All Popups: If for some reason multiple popups are open, this option will close them all simultaneously.
    • Close Popup Permanently: This creates a persistent dismissal. If the user clicks this button, the popup will close and will not reappear for that user in the same browser.
    • Close All Popups Permanently: Similar to the above, but it applies the permanent close action to all popups rather than just the one.

Step 3: Styling and Finalizing Your Button

  1. Alter the button’s appearance using Elementor's style settings to make sure it fits in with the rest of the popup's content.
  2. Adjust the button text to clearly inform users of the action – for example, "Dismiss," "No Thanks," or "Close."

By incorporating an action button into your popup, you allow users to have an alternative, and potentially more engaging, way of closing popups on your JupiterX site. Whether you choose to offer a temporary dismiss option or a permanent one, JupiterX provides you with the native tools to craft a popup experience that respects your users' choices.

With these detailed steps, you can seamlessly integrate an action button into any popup, ensuring that your website visitors have a clear and intuitive way to close popups when they wish to do so. Customizing the close button functionality in JupiterX is just another way to tailor your site to your audience's preferences, improving the overall user experience and interaction with your website.
