Donut Plugin

Transitioning from older versions of the Jupiter theme to Jupiter X is streamlined with the Donut Plugin. The primary page builder in Jupiter X is Elementor. However, if you prefer to migrate your WPBakery-based content to Jupiter X and continue editing with WPBakery, the Donut plugin facilitates this process.

Understanding the Migration Process

While the Donut Plugin streamlines the migration of your content, there are a few aspects to consider:

  • Manual adjustments for elements like headers, footers, sidebars, and theme options are necessary post-migration.
  • Custom CSS or JavaScript codes need to be recreated in the new environment.
  • Given Elementor's primary role in Jupiter X, leveraging its full capabilities is recommended by transitioning and recreating your content with Elementor.

Accessing and Installing the Donut Plugin

To ensure a hassle-free migration, follow these steps to access and install the Donut Plugin:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard: Start by logging into the admin area of your WordPress site.
  2. Navigate to the Plugin Section: After installing Jupiter X, go to the Plugins section within your WordPress dashboard and make sure the Jupiter X Core, Donut and WPBakery plugins are installed and activated.

Managing Custom Post Types via Donut

In Jupiter X > Settings > Third-party Integration, you can enable/disable custom post types such as Clients, Employees, etc., for use in WPBakery. Every enabled custom post type, will appear among WPBakery widgets.

Redefining API Integration via Donut

You can redefine settings previously managed in Jupiter Theme Options > API Integration via Jupiter X > Settings > Third-party Integration.:

  • Theme Accent Color
  • Twitter Consumer Key & Secret
  • Twitter Access Token & Access Token Secret
  • Mailchimp List ID & API key
  • Google Maps API Key

The Donut plugin only integrates WPBakery shortcodes into Jupiter X; sections like headers, footers, and menus will need recreation through the Customizer (Jupiter X > Theme Styles).
