How to Add Related Products to a Single Product Template in JupiterX

Adding related products to your single product template can encourage more sales by highlighting other items that might interest your customers. Here's a simple guide on how to do this in JupiterX using either the Product or Product Carousel widget.

Using the Product Widget

  1. Open your WordPress Dashboard and go to the "JupiterX > Layout Builder".
  2. Find the single product template you're working on and click "Edit with Elementor."
  3. Once the Elementor editor loads, search for the "Product" widget in the Elementor panel.
  4. Drag and drop the Product widget into your single product template layout.
  5. Select the widget, and in the left-hand panel, navigate to the "Content" section.
  6. Look for the "Filter" list and choose "Related to the existing product" This will ensure that the widget shows products related to the current single product view.

Using the Product Carousel Widget

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from the Product Widget instructions above.
  2. In the Elementor editor, search for the "Product Carousel" widget.
  3. Drag and drop the Product Carousel widget into your template layout.
  4. Click on the widget to customize its settings in the left-hand panel.
  5. Again, under the "Content" section, find the "Filter" list.
  6. Select "Related to the existing product" to display products that are related to the product currently being viewed.

Setting a Fallback Option

Sometimes, there may not be enough related products to display. In such scenarios, you can set a fallback option:

  • In the widget settings under the "Content" section, after you've selected "Related to the existing product" in the "Filter" list, look for the setting labeled "Fallback."
  • Choose your fallback option, such as "Upsells," "Cross-sells," or a custom selection, so your customers always have product options to consider.

Finalizing Your Template

After setting up your related products:

  • Click "Update" to save the changes to your single product template.
  • Preview your template to ensure that the related products display as desired.
  • Adjust any additional settings like layout, columns, or image sizes, to match your store's branding and design.

By following these steps, you've now successfully added related products to your single product template, creating a more dynamic and engaging shopping experience for your customers.
