How to Integrate Forms With GetResponse Using JupiterX

Integrating forms on your JupiterX-powered website with GetResponse is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to ensure that any forms you create can send data directly to your GetResponse account, which is particularly useful for growing your email list and managing your contacts.

Step 1: Set Your GetResponse API Key

Before we create any forms, we need to connect your website with GetResponse:

  • Navigate to the WordPress dashboard.
  • Go to Elementor > Settings.
  • Click on the JupiterX tab.
  • Here, you should find an option to enter your GetResponse API Key. Make sure to save your settings after entering the key.

By having your API Key set, your website and GetResponse can communicate with each other securely.

Step 2: Create a Form Using Elementor

Now let's get to making the form:

  • Go to the page where you want to add the form and edit it with Elementor.
  • Drag and drop the Form Widget into your desired section.
  • Customize the form fields to collect the information that you need.

Step 3: Configure GetResponse Action

Once your form fields are ready, you need to set up the action to send data to GetResponse:

  • Click on the form to select it, then go to the Content > Settings.
  • Look for the Add Action option.
  • Choose GetResponse from the list of actions.
  • GetResponse tab will be added under settings tab.

This action ensures that when the form is submitted, the data will be sent to GetResponse.

Step 4: Field Mapping

To make sure the information goes to the right place:

  • Use the Field Mapping options to match each form field in Elementor to the corresponding field in GetResponse.

It's important that these fields align properly so your contact information is accurate in GetResponse.

Note: The integration with GetResponse is designed to create a new contact in your GetResponse account. It does not update existing contacts. If updating contacts is necessary, you will need to look at more advanced solutions or GetResponse's own form tools.

Common Issue: Unsupported Form Field Type

Sometimes, you might encounter a 400 error. This usually means there's an unsupported form field type. Here's what you can do:

  • If the error is due to a phone field, log in to your GetResponse account and change the phone number field type to a text field.
  • In your JupiterX form, set the type of field to "Tel" instead of "Phone".

Unsupported Form Field Type May Return A 400 Error: Be mindful of the field types you use in your forms to avoid these errors.

By following these steps, you should have a functional form on your JupiterX site integrated with GetResponse. Don't forget to regularly test your forms to ensure they are working as expected and that data is going to GetResponse correctly. If you need further help, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team or check the GetResponse documentation for more detailed information.
