How to Integrate Slack with JupiterX Forms
Integrating JupiterX forms with Slack is simple and effective for managing form submissions in real-time. By connecting your forms to a Slack channel, you'll receive immediate updates, keeping your team informed and responsive.
Here's how to set up Slack Integration with JupiterX forms:
Adding Slack as an Action on Form Submission
- First, navigate to the page with the JupiterX form you wish to integrate with Slack.
- Click on the form to edit it and then go to the Form content tab.
- Expand the “Settings” dropdown.
- In the Add Action field, select Slack from the options. This will add Slack to your list of actions.
Configuring Slack Options
Now that you've added Slack as an action, let's configure it:
- To locate the Slack configuration, click on the newly added Slack dropdown section to open it. Fill in the following details:
- Webhook URL: Paste your unique Slack webhook URL here. To get this URL, you need to set up an Incoming Webhook in your Slack workspace.
- Channel: Indicate the Slack channel name where you want the form data sent. Remember to include the # sign before the channel name (e.g., #general). Ensure the channel exists on your Slack.
- Username: Choose a username that will display as the sender of the message in Slack.
- Pre Text: Here, you can add an optional custom message to appear below the username in Slack.
- Title: Provide a title for your Slack message to highlight the form submission context.
- Description: If you want additional details with your form data, add a description.
- Form Data: If enabled (YES), the submitted form data, such as name, email, and message, will be included in the Slack message. Select NO if you do not wish to send form data.
- Timestamp: Enable this option (YES) if you want the exact time of submission included in the message. Otherwise, choose NO.
- Color: Choose a custom color for the vertical line next to the message in Slack which helps to visually distinguish messages.
- Once all the details are filled in, make sure to save the form settings.
That's it! You have successfully integrated your JupiterX form with Slack. Now when the form is submitted, a message with the form data will be instantly sent to the designated Slack channel, keeping your team informed and ready to act upon each new submission.
