Creating a Duplicate of an Existing Elementor Page in JupiterX

There are numerous scenarios where duplicating an existing page on your website becomes necessary. You might be looking to create a consistent look across several pages, conducting A/B testing, or expanding sections of your site. In JupiterX, using Elementor, this process is simplified, allowing you to duplicate any page efficiently.

Why Duplicate a Page?

Duplicating a page can be particularly helpful for maintaining brand consistency, speeding up development time, or repurposing content across your site. Whether updating a portfolio or adding similar products to an e-commerce site, duplicating a page ensures that you can reuse layouts, styles, and structures without starting from scratch.

Step 1: Save Your Page as a Template

The quickest route to duplicating a page in Elementor is to save it as a template. This method provides a blueprint of your page that can be reused indefinitely.

To save your page as a template:

  1. Open the Elementor editor for the page you want to duplicate.
  2. Click on the Update button's arrow located in the top right corner of the screen to expand the Save Options.
  3. Select Save as Template from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the prompt that appears, enter a descriptive name for your template for easy identification later.
  5. Click SAVE. This action adds the template to your Elementor template library tagged with your specified name.

Step 2: Duplicate Your Page

Now that you have a template:

  1. Create a new page or go to the existing page where you wish to utilize the duplicated content.
  2. If it's a new page, ensure you are in the Elementor editor mode for the page.
  3. Click on the Folder icon within the Elementor panel. This will draw forth the Elementor template library.

In the library, you will note tabs for BlocksPages, and My Templates, each storing different element types.

Step 3: Insert Your New Template

To place your saved template onto the new page:

  1. Navigate to My Templates.
  2. Scroll through and locate the template you saved previously.
  3. To the right of the template name, click on Insert.
  4. A dialog box may appear asking you to confirm the addition of the template; confirm, and proceed.

Upon inserting, the content from your original page will populate your new page, creating an exact duplicate.
