Designing a Functional and Stylish Footer with JupiterX

Understanding the Role of Website Footers

A footer serves as the concluding section of your web pages, providing visitors with additional navigational options, contact information, or any other essential details you wish to display consistently across your site. Although most websites have a standard footer, some pages may require a custom footer or no footer at all, depending on the design and purpose of the page.

Navigating to Footers in JupiterX

In JupiterX, all footers you've created can be managed within the Layout Builder. Here's how to get started:

  • In your WordPress admin panel, go to JupiterX > Layout Builder.
  • Click on the Footer tab on the left side to view your existing footers.

Creating a New Footer To produce a new footer:

  • Simply hit Add New, provide it with a distinctive name, and you'll be redirected to the Elementor editing area.
  • Use this space to apply one of our ready-made footer templates or to custom design your own. Remember, footers are sections that repeat across all or selected pages.

Editing an Existing Footer's Design

If you wish to tweak an existing footer:

  • Select the Footer tab in the Layout Builder.
  • Click Edit on the footer you want to adjust, which will bring up the Elementor editor for that footer.

Editing an Existing Footer's Display Conditions

To modify where your footer appears:

  • Choose Edit Conditions at the bottom left of the footer's panel. This action will launch the Display Conditions editor.

Note: A green dot next to a footer indicates it's live with assigned display conditions. Conversely, a gray dot suggests the footer is a draft without conditions set. The Instances label indicates where the footer template is actively used on your site.

Exporting a Footer

To export a footer for use elsewhere:

  • Click the three horizontal dots on the footer panel.
  • Select Export and save the .json file to your device.

Deleting a Footer

To remove a footer from your collection:

  • Again, click the three horizontal dots for the relevant footer.
  • Opt for Delete and confirm your decision in the following dialog box, or cancel if you've changed your mind.

Renaming a Footer

To change a footer's name:

  • Click the three horizontal dots on the footer you wish to rename.
  • Select Rename, input the new name, and approve the change, or cancel if you no longer wish to alter the footer's name.
