Creating and Managing Product Archive Templates in JupiterX

Creating a cohesive and visually appealing product archive is key to enhancing your online store's user experience. A product archive template in JupiterX allows you to design a consistent look for displaying groups or categories of products on your website. These templates organize your products in a user-friendly way, making it easier for customers to browse and find what they're looking for.

Accessing Product Archive Templates

To begin crafting your product archive template, follow these steps:

  • From your WordPress admin area, navigate to JupiterX > Layout Builder.
  • Select Product Archive. You’ll see options to add, edit, or delete product archive templates.

Note: A product archive template utilizes dynamic information to style your product listings rather than adding static content to the template itself. If you have not yet created any product archive templates, you'll need to set up a new one.

Creating a New Product Archive Template

To create a new template:

  • Click Add New on the Products Archive Site Part screen.
  • Name your product archive, and you'll be taken to the Elementor editing area.
  • Add widgets such as titles, archive meta, product loops, and others to build your archive page.

Ensure you load products relevant to the global archive category by adding a Product widget and selecting Current Archive query from the Filter dropdown in the content section.

Previewing Your Product Archive

To preview your archive as if viewing a live archive page:

  • Access archive settings by clicking the gear icon at the top center of Elementor's toolbar.
  • From the settings tab, locate Preview Settings and select an appropriate archive to preview.

Editing an Existing Product Archive Template

To make changes to an existing template:

  • Go to the Product Archive section in the Layout Builder.
  • Click Edit next to the template you want to adjust, which opens the Elementor editor for that specific template.

Editing a Product Archive's Display Conditions

To change where and when your template appears:

  • Click Edit Conditions in the Layout Builder for your chosen archive template.
  • This opens the Display Conditions editor, where you can define the specific conditions under which the template will be applied.
  • You can alternatively access to display conditions from Elementor editor as shown below:

Note: Green dots indicate active templates with assigned display conditions, while gray dots denote draft templates without display conditions.

Exporting a Product Archive

To export a template:

  • Click the three horizontal dots for the chosen template.
  • Select Export, and save the .json file to your computer.

Deleting a Product Archive

To remove a template:

  • Click the three horizontal dots for the template you wish to delete.
  • Choose Delete and confirm your decision, or cancel if you opt not to delete it.

Renaming a Product Archive

To rename a template:

  • Click the three horizontal dots for the archive you want to rename.
  • Choose Rename, type the new name, and confirm the change, or cancel if you don't wish to proceed.

By following these steps, you can effectively create, customize, manage, and maintain product archive templates for your WooCommerce store using the JupiterX theme. Remember to periodically review and update your archives to ensure they continue meeting the needs of your customers and the objectives of your online store.
